The McDonald's Rider
My sister is a McDonald's fanatic, my nephew is a McDonald's Baby, when she was pregnant my sister just wanted to eat Nuggets and Fries from McDonald's so we basically, ALWAYS, maybe not everyday but at least twice a week get to eat at McDonald's or sometimes we just get the food delivered. So you see the picture? There's no problem delivering to our place coz we're old customers and there haven't been any problem with deliveries, they do get late but who cares that's how much my sister loves McDonald's. Then just a week ago, my sister wanted to have some shaker fries and the all-time favorite nuggets.
After an hour we got a call from McDo saying that the rider has already left but he forgot to bring the french fries with him, and we were also informed that the rider who brought our order was not our usual rider, it was a new rider so ok, in short they were asking us to be a bit more understanding just in case the rider gets late, and also for forgetting the fries but for us not to worry because our usual rider just came in and he's just gonna try to catch up with the first rider who was ahead by 30 minutes by the way. So, by the time it got to an hour and a half my sister was a bit furious coz we were worried about the quality of the french fries and the burgers and the nuggets.
AND OF COURSE WE WERE HUNGRY, duh, that was around 12 midnight.
Ok, so we were listening for the sound of a scooter passing by when we finally heard one I shouted at the rider but he didn't take notice of us, after another 15 minutes he finally arrived because we had our maid follow him and show him our house. We were really pissed but then he apologized so it was supposed to be a no biggie, oh yeah, I forgot to mention that our usual rider got in just a few seconds after the new one arrived. And they were apologizing, the new rider didn't even know that he left the fries. When the maid went inside she was just furious, and we asked her why, the rider, the one who was late for more than an hour and a half said that he had a hard time finding our house because we lived in the "squatter's area", when she said the term we were all just furious and instantly called McDonald's to complain. That jerk of a rider was late and we didn't even scold him for that but to find out that he typecast, our place as a squatter's area just because he had difficulty finding our place just pissed us off. This was the first time it ever happened to us, other fast food companies have delivered to us Pizza Hut, Jollibee, McDonald's(most of the time), and YellowCab never complained about finding our place then this new rider, whoever he was if I had known much sooner what he just said I would have taken his name and taught him a lesson.
We filed a complaint with McDonald's customer service but we don't know what happened with the rider. I hope they suspend him or something so that he never does the same thing to other consumers as well. It was just so offending.
Next time, I hope people would be more cautious with the words they use especially if they don't have any right to say such things.
It was just really disappointing. Very Disappointing. We love McDonald's but if they continue employing services of people who are not careful in choosing their words. They might end up losing a lot of customers.
But, McDonald's don't worry my sister is still addicted with your nuggets, but if you send out another rider just like that one. I don't know we just might lose our appetites for nuggets and fries.
